This has got to be one of the most incredible things I have ever read. Juan Catalan was in jail for 5 1/2 months facing the death penalty for the murder of a 16 year old woman. His baby mama remembered that he was at the Dodgers game the night/time of said murder. She took both the ticket stub and cell phone records to the police, but this being the LAPD, the evidence was ignored. Super-Fucking-Defense-Attorney Todd Melnik somehow found out that Larry David had filmed an episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm at Dodger Stadium that night. A scene on the cutting room floor shows David walk down the stairs and there is Catalan, eating a stadium dog, three seats from the walkway. As soon as the tape was shown to the judge, all charges were dropped. Things we have learned from this story:
-Todd Melnik is the greatest lawyer in the history of law. -Curb Your Enthusiasm is emmy-winning and life-saving. -If you are ever accused of murder, call HBO. -Stadium dogs are the best hot dogs in America. -The Dodgers are a pretty bad baseball team.
