There should be a photo right here, huh? I have a SuperNikon, but only seem to take it out when I am working or when I have a photograph in mind. My little pocket camera has lost its charger. So, you will all have imagineer the images related to this post.
Barbecue at Shelton’s again. Tilapia again. I seem to use it a lot, but really I only cook with it when I am cooking for several people; it’s good and it’s inexpensive. I made a modified version of this: Tilapia wrapped Asparagus with a Cherry and Cheese sauce. It seemed to be well enjoyed, even though professional contest announcer Sal Barbier kept saying “Keep the strawberries and cream cheese off my fish”. We also had steak, bok choy, corn on the cob, and Caprese salad. The barbecues are picking up steam, last week there were only 2 of us, this week there were 7. I left rather early because I had to get up at 6 to be in Agua Dulce for a job.
I’m doing a project in AD. God damn was it hot there, and I was out in the heat all afternoon. I’ll post some photos and design process work as it’s available.
I also have about 8 other projects on the table and will update you on those when I am able. Some of them are shrouded in secrecy.
Post-academic life is very, very good. I’m staying financially afloat and choosing the projects I want to do. Even though it will be 4(ish) years until I am licensed, I seem to be getting offers for a lot of projects. One good thing about school is that I made friends with a lot of my classmates, and can put a very skilled team together virtually overnight. Furthermore, I developed relationships with several professors, most of whom are licensed architects, and most experts in a certain field or architecture.
It’s all coming together.
Say word.
