Along with Co-Owner Biayna Bogosian, I am the Principal Designer and Educator for Somewhere Something and Lead Fabricator for Some FAB.
My research focuses on adaptive architecture, robotics and fabrication. Drawing on my former career as a professional skateboarder, I am also interested in the planning and design of public space. Since 2009, I have taught at Woodbury University, Pasadena City College, and Los Angeles Institute of Architecture and Design, focusing on computation and interactive architecture. With a $2.5m grant from the Department of Education, I helped establish the Digital Fabrication Lab at Woodbury University, which I managed for three years. I have over a decade of experience practicing architectural design, including designing skateparks for The Berrics and The Gorbals restaurant in an historic building in Downtown Los Angeles. My work has been exhibited in galleries throughout Los Angeles.
I am currently working towards architectural licensure in the State of California. I hold a Bachelor of Architecture from Woodbury University (2008).
I live in Downtown Los Angeles with 2 beautiful girls, one of which is a pit bull.
